The Jason Farm was established sometime in the early 1860's when Isaac Jason purchased 80 acres in Gratiot County's New Haven Township. Isaac is considered one of the pioneers of Gratiot County, since he moved to this area before it was settled or even had roads. He married Charity White in 1865 and they began a family while farming the homestead. At one time, the Jason Farm was designated a Centennial Farm, but unfortunately it is no longer a working farm.

Below is an aerial view of the Jason Family Homestead from September 21, 2015. It's changed a little since this picture with the property in front of The Big Red Barn being uncultivated this year. We hope to plant a large garden in that area next year!

This fall, after the surrounding crops have been harvested, we will be restoring the property to its entire 5 acre dimensions, and (in the next few years) we hope to be able to update and renovate the house, including the property and the barns.
