When five years old she was brought by her parents changing residence, into Clinton County, Michigan, and three years later to Gratiot County, where she lived with her parents until marriage to Isaac Jason on December 31, 1865 in New Haven Township. By her energy and native tact she obtained a good education and for several years followed the profession of teaching. She had three children with Isaac Jason: Elmer E., born January 22, 1867; and Jessie B., September 18, 1868, and they have had one child, Myrtie, who was born December 20, 1872, but died soon after. Charity Jason died on April 3, 1923, in New Haven, Michigan, at the age of 76.
